Nothing fancy here, just a bridge on Highway 23 near Empire
I have a thing about bridges. This particular rail bridge was in Jefferson. If I could have gotten to the other side of the this thing there was a great shot of a freight train to be taken but the land was marshy as hell. Also - snakes. On the regular I have no fight with snakes, but down there I don't know poisonous from not, so I stuck to dry ground.
Some kind of processing facility near Raceland. From the look of it, I thought it was abandoned, but it was connected to what looked like a pretty full workyard.
Pharmacy, Houma. I have no idea why I went to Houma but it was a good decision. It's a neat little place
Statue of Jesus at Pointe-aux-Chenes.
Former slave cabins on Lynn Valley Road, near Thibodaux. LVR is said by locals to be haunted and while I can't vouch for that, I will say you feel this part of the road about 30 seconds before you get here. There's a heaviness in the chest, followed by panic.
French Quarter, New Orleans.
A helping hand in the French Quarter, New Orleans.
Fort Jackson, near Venice. I had hoped to visit Fort Pike and Fort MacComb, closer to New Orleans, but both are closed. Instead, a rep from the state park service sent me here to Fort Jackson, which was also closed. Go figure.
Underneath that bridge on Highway 23 near Empire
Gas station, Houma. It was a quiet night in Houma - I saw more roaches walking around than I did people.

Also in the graveyard on the way to Thibodaux
